Natural Detox

February 2nd, 2012

More and more people are getting accustomed to living healthy and most are turning to the natural means of doing that.

I guess  you are one of those people. Well I am going to share my knowledge a natural means of living healthy, by means of natural detox.

Detoxing is becoming a neccessaty in our rather busy lives, the foods we consume are not at all organic and they may contain some products that may lead to the development of toxins in our systems. The drinks we consume are also a contributing factors to the somewhat poisoning of our systems. Alcohol is one those drinks, alcohol damages the cells of the liver and it poisons the liver!

Natural detox is simply using the natural means of detoxing. Natural detox is cheap as it constitutes of natural ingredients that are easily available in our local dealers. It is effective and it has no side effects.

Some of the home remedies you can use for natural detox are the lemon detox.  Like the name may suggest this natural detox is lemon based.

The ingredients are water, lemon, sea salt and cayenne pepper.

And like I mentioned earlier lemon is the key ingredient. This detox takes advantage of the cleansing process in the body helping the by helping the body flush out the toxins we acquire in our everyday lives. And the other benefit of this natural detox is that it can help you lose weight.

This method of detox will give temporary effective results.
Another common way of natural detox is through the use of herbs. Herbs such as milk thistle are inclusive in the natural detox.

Milk thistle is particularly good because it regenerates the cells in the liver thus removing the toxins in the liver and it prevents toxins from entering the liver.

Vegetables and fruit have for years been used I natural detox, and this tradition carries on today. Vegetables such as cucumber, lettuce, cabbage, spinach and dark leaf vegetables in general are good for detoxing.

Fresh fruit will also help the body detox.  These have to be crushed and mixed and then of coarse water added with lemon juice.

Natural and Herbal Detox

September 13th, 2011

Anyone who wants to be healthier in their life should consider the idea of doing a natural detox process of some sort. What is a natural detox as opposed to an unnatural detox? If you go to a store and buy a bunch of products in order to help you detox your system, then that is probably not very natural. How could you detox your body in a more natural way?

Well in order to do so you have to limit yourself. Imagine you are living in the wilderness and there are no stores around. How could you detox yourself then? Pretty much the only way is through using natural herbs or through a process of fasting. That is what is available to you out in the real, natural world. Therefore that is what constitutes a natural detox process.

Now if you are just starting out with the detox process then I would recommend that you do a juice fast as opposed to a water fast.

Juice fasting will be a strong detox but it will not be as intense as doing straight water. In addition to this, you will also have more energy during a juice fast and be able to be more active. You can even exercise while doing a juice fast, which can help bring about a deeper cleanse as you drop weight quickly due to the exercise.

As you gain experience with juice fasting you can start to incorporate herbal detoxing into the mix and get a bit more creative. But the baseline of your detoxing efforts should be juice fasting as it is a strong foundation for cleaning out your system.

Natural Detox Tips

September 4th, 2011

The natural health researchers at Institute for Vibrant Living (IVL) have investigated the natural detoxifying methods available for everyday healthy living. Here is their report:

You are probably aware of the fact that there are literally tens of thousands of chemicals in use around the world today.

Unfortunately, most of these chemicals have never been properly tested for their effects on human health.

Yet, this is only one aspect of the problem, for on any given day, you are also being exposed to a wide variety of other potentially harmful agents and compounds such as second-hand cigarette smoke.

The Problem Begins With Foods

Much of the food that we eat has chemicals, pesticides, food-coloring and other synthetic compounds in it.

In recent years, the average Western diet has become more and more reliant on processed and fast foods.

The bottom line is that most people have little or no idea what is in the food they eat, and this fact holds especially true for processed and fast foods.

If you are consuming a good deal of processed and fast foods, then that fact alone means that a good detox is nothing short of an excellent idea.

Our Environment Compounds the Problem

All the chemical exposure that you get on a day-to-day basis in cities and even smaller towns could be adversely impacting your health.

This exposure ranges from air pollution, to the degassing of carpet and furniture in your home (formaldehyde), to the foods you are ingesting, even the clothing you are wearing (polyester is a petroleum product).

Fortunately, you can use food and herbs to dramatically improve your health by detoxifying your body.

Let’s take a look at a few of the strategies that you can use to detoxify and get healthier in the process:

Eliminating junk food and processed food from your diet is a fantastic first step. It is estimated that well over 50% of the typical American diet is now derived from processed foods.

Switch to ‘whole foods’ – you will be giving your body a much-needed break from chemical additives.

Emphasize fruits and vegetables – as they are proven to be high in nutrition and powerful antioxidants that may discourage certain types of cancer. And they can help the body to eliminate toxins and pollutants.

Eat cherries – they are actually able to remove heavy metals from your body.

Increase consumption of whole grains – it’s another easy way you can detoxify your body. Whole grains can also help your intestines eliminate harmful compounds from your body. Keep in mind that there is very little nutrition in white flour products, such as commercial mass–produced bread and cereals.

Drink dandelion root tea - Dandelion root is a powerful detoxifying agent. When used in conjunction with the other tips mentioned above, dandelion has the ability to rid your body of the harmful agents that could be impacting your health and shortening your lifespan.

Add organic food to your diet - as much as possible. In this way, you will keep many harmful chemicals and pesticides from entering your body in the first place.
